The sea in Riau Island Province is more than 90 percent of the region. Actually, this is the best given by God to us. Because too many potential available there, not just the fishes. But, many ships who pass on our sea throw their rubbish like the used oil. Of cause, this action is the criminal and again the international law. This is not happen in one time, but more and more.
Like in Thursday, May 5, 2008 when I’ve cross away by the traditional ship from Batam Island to Langkanak Island – you can see the beautiful Singapore from this island – I’ve seen to many used oil throwing to the sea. My hand was black with oil when I dip to the sea. As the citizen of Batam Island, I angry with this happen. Our sea is not the big place to throwing your rubbish sir !
As the freedom country, actually we must obedient to the international law and respect to other country authority. Event no eyes sea police seen, but we trust the eye God will see. And together we can keep the sea in the world are clean and the sea habitat can live better. I think, every one of us agrees with me. Keep the sea clean and clear. (!)
