Dubai will invest US$ 500 millions in shipyard industry in Batam Island as soon. They will begin the building industry end this year. Indonesian ambassador in Arab Emirate Union, M. Wahid Supriyadi said yesterday, the investment is realization of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Riau Island Province and PT. Batam Maritim Center (BMC) last year. The investment is under flag Drydock Dubai World International Ltd.
This investment, added Supriyadi, will recruit 9.000 employees in Batam Island. Of cause, this investment is the good news for authority in Batam Island. And this investment hoped can give the best solution for heating the social problem – unemployment.
The industry will product the rig building, doc ship and other with high technology. Dubai will be the biggest shipyard industry in Asia. This shipyard need much sea land for reclamation now. The management will open biding as soon. Do you interesting?
